About the author

Tony Henderson is an award-winning journalist and has worked in various countries during his 35-year career. Born and bred in the North East, he has a lifelong interest in history, landscape and the natural environment and has worked for The Journal as Environment Editor for the past fourteen years. He now lives with his wife and two children in North Tyneside.
